Her Own Heroine and Savior - 11.7.23

Updated: Jul 14, 2024

Every Step of the way a battle with one's mind... šŸ§˜šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ§ šŸ—”ļø

My lovelies,

As you join me in this new adventure of poems and quotes, you'll start noticing that my works are inspired most by those human feelings that we all experience the strongest: sadness, fear, anger, happiness, peace, fulfillment, etc. Funny enough, I seem to find myself in what I like to call my "Edgar Allen Poe" era (I even joke that I aspire to me the modern/female "Edgar Allen Poe", HA!) as most of my poems and quotes seem to come to me most during my most solemn, painful, dark, and solitary moments.

This quote came about in one of those moments where I felt the heaviness of solitude, but a very specific and certain kind of solitude. The solitude you feel when you are someone who suffers from anxiety or when you are going through a dark time in life and, even when you are surrounded by loved ones/friends/family, you still feel alone. When you feel you are in this battle alone facing your own Goliath. When you're the only one who can silence/slay what's in in front of you, or... inside of you if you want to think it that way, and you have to use every ounce of your strength and being to become your own heroe (heroine)/savior.

This is dedicated to all of us who are going through tough times or who are warriors battling our minds on a daily basis. Know you're loved and you are strong. You CAN be the heroe (heroine) of your own story... you've lived with your brain this long and, if you can do that, you can do so much more! Also, if you are going through a life storm, remain strong and remember... this too shall pass ā¤ļø

If no one's told you lately, YOU MATTER and the world is better because you're in it ā¤ļø

XOXO Isabelle ā¤ļøšŸ’‹ XOXO
