Sometimes, when life allows us to encounter a “scary”, “new” or “unnerving” part of ourselves, the best way to counteract it and accept who we are is to surround ourselves with those similar to us.
Those who love us, those who understand us, those who are non-judgemental, those who root for us, those who only want the best for us, and those who love us for EXACTLY who we are…. Those are who we are always to hold close to us. For me… those are my fellow Dark Faes and creatures of the Moors 🧘🏻♀️💚🧚.
My Lovelies,
We spoke last week about the inevitable seasons of change we experience throughout our life. We have also discussed the innate desire that exists within us as humans to belong.
In this week's quote, we dive deeper into the peace we experience and the beauty we find when we find our "tribe" so to speak. As I mentioned before, I am a HUGE Maleficent fan Ahem I'd forewarned you lovelies there would be many times where I would reference this film and where I would I would refer myself as a Dark Fae, LOL. Well, this is one of those times! For me finding my tribe meant finding other Dark Faes or finding other people who approved/embraced Dark Faes; thus, also embracing me, Isabelle, in her totality.
Finding these lovely Dark Faes and knowing that I belonged with them slowly started changing me. My "appearance", like in my quote, certainly did change from human to fae. Finding my fellow Moors creatures made me stronger, emotionally/mentally, in who I am. It made me smarter human. It also transformed me into one of them, one of these gentle Faes, someone more empathetic. Someone who is able to also embrace the differences of others: whether human, Dark Fae, or other. It allowed me to be able to scope out other Dark Faes who need me, humans who don't want me around them, and others who are different from me but yearn for a place to belong to.
With my experience of discovering important pieces of myself throughout my 30's, its taught me how to be a better Dark Fae/human over all. It's been scary and nerve-wrecking at times, yes, but now I know why life allowed me to travel this road and have this journey. It's because many of us don't understand why others change until we find ourselves transforming into them, perhaps unwillingly/unexpectedly, and we literally "walk a mile in those people's shoes". This positive change that can come from self-discovery was exactly what I was thinking about at this quote came to be.
I hope this becomes an inspiration not only for all of us to be brave enough to embrace our true selves but also for all of us to learn to embrace one another. For all of us to understand how we can help transform a scared/anxious/hurting heart by simply letting them know "you're one of us, it's ok. You're safe, accepted, and loved here". Humanity would be so much different, in a positive sense, and the world would take such a turn for the better if we all learned to help uplift/accept one another's uniqueness. Maybe one day humanity will get there. In meantime, all we can do is do our part to get one step closer to that gentleness and kindness the world so desperately needs.
Much Love my Lovelies,
XOXO Isabelle ❤️💋 XOXO
