Finding Peace Through Positive Outlets

My Lovelies šŸ˜˜ā¤ļø,

Ā

Isabelle here! It’s wonderful to have you all back at PawzandProse.blog for another week and another new post! Athena and I are delighted to see our little online family growing week after week and to see all the love and support you guys send our way. Before we begin this week’s discussion, Athena and I want to extend another gentle reminder to all of you that if you haven’t already done so, requesting that you please subscribe to our blog on our website. Each subscription pushes our platform forward and allows us to keep sharing our daily adventures with you. With that said and without any further ado, welcome once again to all of you, my loves, and let’s get our time together started.

Ā

To be honest, my loves, I’m not quite sure how long or short this particular discussion will be; however, after some serious reflection this week, it’s one that I believe is crucial for each and every one of us. As clichĆ© as it may sound, I think in the midst of the day-to-day, it's easy for us to forget the importance of having a positive outlet of sorts for our most complex of emotions.

Ā

As aforementioned, and I want to take the time to emphasize the importance of this, we may hear from mental health professionals, family, friends, etc., how crucial it is for us to have a healthy outlet to help us manifest our emotions; however, until we start reflecting more deeply on this matter, we don’t understand how big of a reality this is for all of us as humans. To go off on my usual tangents… I love to watch interviews with my favorite celebrities on YouTube. I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every interview with Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Lana Parrilla that exists online as, yes, I’m an obsessed little fan girl Ahem that’s beside the point Ahem LOL šŸ˜, but they must be included in this conversation. Why do I feel this is a pertinent piece of information for this week? You may ask… because even they, as celebrities, have admitted to this particular fact that we are talking about right now. In their interviews, they've said that, yes, their day job is acting; however, they are just as human as the rest of us. Their job does not exempt them from the human experience and journey; thus, they feel and go through things as we all do. Each one of them has also admitted at least once to the fact that being an actress and being able to tell stories is THEIR outlet for their emotions. It’s through their art, through their characters, and through the stories that they partake in that they can release the parts of themselves that they would not be able to let out elsewhere. It is through their commitment and passion to their artistic work that they can let the weight of being human be lifted off their shoulders. I found this such a raw and beautiful thing for them to share with us, their fans, as it helps us realize that no one is exempt from needing a release from the day-to-day, from reality, and life in general...

This past week, I was also speaking with an acquaintance at a work event, and in the conversation, we ended up discussing our hobbies. After sharing my love for writing and poetry, he shared with me his love and passion for music. After a few moments of sharing with one another where our passions for these artistic outlets came from, we both came to the same realization… his inspiration for music and my inspiration for my posts/quotes/poems are our particular preferred ways of release. His music and my writing mainly stem from the strongest of human emotions: love, anger, happiness, sadness, etc. Music and writing are our ways of taking these complex emotions out of our being and bringing them out to the physical world in a healthy way. They are ways of taking those moments out of our hearts and minds and putting them safely where they belong, where they weigh less, and where they can lay to rest without affecting us as much. It was lovely to be able to share this experience and realization with a fellow artist!

Ā

As expected, my loves, this post won’t be as long as others, perhaps, but it will be one of my most meaningful and important ones. My point of this discussion and reflection with you this week is that we all realize that being on this journey called life is not straightforward. As humans, we’re going to find ourselves facing many wonderful days (and I pray for all of us that we have more of these than any other), but the reality is that we will also face many days with hardships. Whether it is a day full of love and sunshine or a day where nothing seems to be going our way, we must have a way to release those emotions in the healthiest way possible. It’s not healthy to keep emotions, especially those on the more negative side of the spectrum, repressed in our bodies and minds. My hope with this post as well is that, if you haven’t already done so, that you also find something you love that will help ground you and help you let go of those moments that eat all of us up at times. The beautiful thing is that we ALL can find something to help us with that process and that it doesn’t necessarily have to be artistic. It can be something as simple as giving a loved one/friend a hug, calling a safe person for a chat, grabbing a coffee, or even going for a short walk/hike. Whatever it may be, make it yours and find a way to make the weight of being a part of the human race easier on yourself. We all need it at one point or another. There’s no shame in realizing that just as we have the power to feel positive emotions, we’re also programmed to feel the more negative ones throughout the journey. Also, don’t forget to share your preferred outlet with others as it may help someone who needs it!

Ā

Until the next one my Loves,

Ā

XOXO Isabelle šŸ˜˜ā¤ļøĀ XOXO
